Aishwarya, Chinki make State proud by winning gold medals in ISSF World Cup Shooting

Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy shooters Aishwarya Pratap Singh and Chinki Yadav made State and country proud by clinching two gold medals in ISSF World Cup Shooting Championship held at Dr Karani Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. Aishwarya Pratap Singh gave stellar performance in 50 meter rifle 3 and Chinki Yadav showed her brilliant talent in 25 meter pistol event. Both grabbed gold medals by leaving behind many known players of country and world as well.
 
Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Madhya Pradesh Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia encouraged players by watching the performance of players during the championship at Dr Karani Singh Shooting Range. Chinki Yadav led the Indian team and earned 32 points in individual 25 meter pistol competition of women category. India’s Rahi Sarnobat came second while Manu Bhaker was on third place. In men category’s 50 meter rifle 3 competition, Aishwarya Pratap Singh scored 462.5 points to grab gold medal for country.
 
Hungary’s shooter (461.6 points) came second and Denmark’s shooter (450.9 points) came third. Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia expressed her happiness by stating that shooters Aishwarya Pratap Singh and Chinki Yadav created history by winning gold medals. She said that both players have secured place in Indian team for Tokyo Olympics with their brilliant performance. She said that she was overwhelmed by seeing performance of State’s shooters in world competition and got the chance to be testimony of historical event. She congratulated both Aishwarya Pratap Singh and Chinki Yadav and their trainers on the success. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain said that it is a golden moment for Madhya Pradesh that its two shooters made the State and country proud by winning two gold medals in World Cup.
