Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that vigilance is must in view of increasing cases of corona in State. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the principle of ‘Meri Holi-Mere Ghar’ while limiting the festival of Holi to our homes. He said that other public events including ger, mela, chal samaroha will be banned in entire state. He was addressing members of Cabinet on Corona presentation after Cabinet meeting. He added that corona cases are rising in Betul, Chhindwara, Ratlam and Khargone along with Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur.
 
Hence, lockdown will be imposed on Sunday in these places as well. More than 20 cases are being reported daily in Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar, Vidisha, Barwani and Burhanpur. In districts where number of rising corona cases per day is more than 20 percent, there number of people attending marriage ceremonies, funeral processions, “uthavana” and “mrityu bhoj” is also being limited. In view of festivals like Holi, Shab-e-Baaraat, Easter and Eid-ul-Fitr, instructions have been issued by state government in view of advice to implement additional local restrictions. Lockdown will remain effective from 10 am to 6 pm on Monday in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Betul, Chhindwara, Ratlam and Khargone. Essential commodities, labourers working in industrial units, employees, industrial raw materials, products and transportation of sick people, students visiting airports, railway stations and appearing for examinations will be exempted during the lockdown period.
 
The treasury and registry offices will be open on March 28 in these cities. Restrictions will not apply on movement of employees working in these offices and citizens visiting the offices. Teaching in all schools and colleges will be closed till March 31 in these seven cities. All examinations will be held as per pre-determined schedule. These include competitive examinations. There will be no hindrance in the movement of examiners and officers and employees engaged in the work of examination.
