As corona is spreading its tentacles once again, Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput made a surprise inspection of buses at ISBT bus stand in Bhopal and applied mask on faces of those drivers and passengers who were not wearing mask on Wednesday. He said that by seeing spread of corona, mask was made mandatory for passengers in buses. He also told that maximum bus passengers, driver and conductors were wearing mask.

When he went to do mask checking inside buses, passengers were surprised to find him among themselves and doing checking of mask. On finding one city bus driver without mask, he put a mask on his face and advised to wear mask regularly as it is necessary to keep corona at a bay. He said that no leniency will be tolerated as far as bus passenger safety is concerned. He added that next time, bus permit, insurance and fitness will be also checked and if any bus driver, passenger or conductor is found without mask then action will be taken against concerned bus owner. Until corona does not go away till then bus owners should consider mask as necessary document.

He opined that as many people travel in buses hence there is probability spread of corona hence mask has been made mandatory for passengers, driver and conductor. On Tuesday, Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra had visited New Market and distributed mask to people and spread awareness against corona disease. Earlier, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited New Market and applied mask to shopkeepers and people who were found to be without mask. Notably, corona speed has increased in Bhopal as from last few days it is regularly reporting more than 300 new cases of pandemic, forcing government to go for lockdown on Sunday and implementing night curfew.
