BSP Workers Union (BWU) office bearers and members have launched an awareness campaign in the plant for ensuring respectable wage revision at the earliest. As part of the campaign the trade union delegation is meeting employees and discussing about their expectation. Ujjwal Dutta, president, BWU informed that as part of the specially launched awareness campaign the trade union delegation met employees of Blast Furnace-8 (BF-8) of BSP and apprised them regarding state of wage revision and also recorded their expectations.
 
He informed that the plant employees are demanding for open ended pay scale, 15 % MGB, 35% perks, 9% contribution for pension along with arrears payment from January 1, 2017. He also informed that the plant employees demanded NJCS leaders for clarity over all demands and for ensuring wage revision, meeting the expectations of employees. The employees also talked about the loss of three grades with wage agreement earlier and this time demanded complete clarity regarding full payment of due arrears.
 
He asserted that the employees acknowledged the efforts being put in by BWU members. The trade union delegation was comprised of Shiv Bahadur Singh, T Dileshwar Rao, D Mohan Rao, Lumesh Kumar, Pradeep Singh, Ravishankar Singh and other leaders.
