Cracking the whip on land mafia, the district administration, along with police, on Thursday, conducted drive at many places and freed expensive Government land from illegal possession. The administration razed illegal structures from Government land. Under a big exercise, the anti-mafia squad conducted a drive against illegal colonies and got freed Government land from illegal occupancy. Senior administrative officials informed at first they remove road, main entrance gate and other structures from over one-hectare land owned by one Kunwar Lal Patel in Village Ghansour. Likewise, second action was taken at village Enthakheda where an illegal colony was being developed by cutting mountains.

 

The administration removed boundary wall, cement polls and office from the land. SDM Namah Shivay Arjaria informed that Kavir Farma did plotting on 2.5 acres of land in Enthakheda. After the drive, the land was given its original shape. Likewise, third action was also taken in the village only, where senior officials led by the SDM removed giant entrance gate, road and other structures got erected by one Amit Chakraburty and was developing illegal colony in the name of Cristal Valley.

 

SDM Arjaria said the owner had sold as many as 70 plots to different people. It may be noted that following directions of State Government, the district administration, police and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation are conducting drive against land mafia and adulterators.
