State Wushu team runners-up in Sub-Junior National Tournament

Players of the Madhya Pradesh Wushu team grabbed the first runners-up title during the 20th Sub-Junior National Wushu Tournament at Ranchi, Jharkhand winning 29 medals including 11 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze. Around 945 players from 30 units across the country participated in the national tournament. The State Wushu team participated in the tournament under the guidance of coaches Manoj Gupta and Sarika Manoj Gupta.
 
The players who won medals include Krishika Gupta (2 gold), Ojaswini Patel (2 gold and 1 bronze), Veer Singh Rajput (2 gold and 1 bronze), Arinjay Chile (1 bronze), Garv Ghanghoriya (2 bronze), Priyanshi Chouhan (1 silver), Shourya Gautam (1 gold, 2 silver), Aditya Shrivastava (1 gold) and Kajol Chouhan (1 bronze). In group event, 1 silver to Jabalpur, 1 gold to Ankit Sen from Sidhi, 1 bronze to Aman Thakur from Mandla, 1 silver to Purva Narwariya, 1 gold to Satyam Jain, 2 silver to Chaitanya Verma, 1 bronze to Anurag Barha, 1 gold and 1 bronze to Pallavi Chouhan, bronze to Yashika Sharma from Ashoknagar and 1 silver to Aarna Vyas from Indore.
 
Manoj Gupta and Purnima Rajak were the team coaches. Shailendra Sharma from Satna and Brajesh Dhurante from Ashoknagar were the judges for the tournament. Principal Secretary, Gulshan Bamra, N K Tripathi, Dr Jitendra Jamdar and Digvijay Singh extended their best wishes to the team and winner players.
