Various Holi, folk songs mark Phagotsav poetry seminar of Hindi Lekhika Sangh

The Hindi Lekhika Sangh organsied Phagotsav in which various holi sangeet and traditional folk songs were organised in an online session recently. The traditional folk songs were performed at a zoom meeting under the direction of Anita Saxena. Convenor of the Writers’ Association Usha Jaiswal, presided over the programme. She, while praising Holi, appreciated the presentations of everyone and said that the programme will be accompanied by songs of Holi and folk songs in the coming weeks.
 
As the chief guest, motivational speaker, counselor Deepa Srivastava, director of ‘Manjen’ Sanstha, praised the programme and said that everyone captivated with thir performance of Holi songs and folk songs. Ritupriya Khare, the operator of folk art and founder of ‘Triveni’, an organisation dedicated to art literature and music, playing the role of a special guest, also presented a presentation on theme of Holi between Rama and Rambhakta Hanuman through song by joining ‘Awadh’.
 
The programme was moderated by Navita Johri and Mahima Shrivastava Varma with musical and interesting poetic lines. Saraswati Vandana was presented by Karuna Srivastava and a vote of thanks was given by Mahima Srivastava Varma. The solo and group productions included in the program included Holi songs and folk songs in languages such as Awadhi, Bundeli, Rajasthani, Malvi, Marathi Hindi etc. They also urged people to play safe holi this time and also not to do any large public gathering to avoid corona infection.
