Fresh spike of 2,665 was recorded in State on Friday and the numbers continue to rise in State with Durg district continuing to register the maximum cases of 988.

In Raipur, 689 cases were detected, while in Rajnandgaon 178 cases were detected and the number of deaths for the day was 22.

Total active cases are 15,307 and number of positive cases reached 3,34,778 in State, out of which 3,15,423 got recovered. New guidelines have been issued by Health Department for home isolation following due to the rising number of covid positive cases in State.

Nodal officers of all districts were directed to permit the

corona positive patient to adopt home isolation only after

assuring that the patient will follow the Covid-19 protocols and will obey the guidelines of home isolation.

After permission, a treatment kit should be supplied to the patient immediately.

Patient of over 60 years age and serious patients should not be allowed for home isolation. If attendant of the patient is not capable of recording Oxygen-level and temperature of patient, he will not be allowed.

Patients in remote areas should also be advised to get admitted in hospital.

As per the information, out of 2,665 cases, 988 cases were reported from Durg, 178 Rajnandgaon, 55 Balod, 97 Bemetara, 16 Kabirdham, 689 Raipur, 42 Dhamtari, 45 Balodabazar, 70 Mahasamund, 20 Gariaband, 113 Bilaspur, 17 Raigarh, 50 Korba, 25 Janjgir-Champa, 6 Mungeli, 8 Gourela Pendra Marwahi, 77 Surguja, 39 Koriya, 33 Surajpur, 1 Balrampur, 44 Jashpur, 12 Bastar, 1 Kondagaon, 3 Dantewada, 4 Sukma, 22 Kanker, 2 Narainpur, 6 Bijapur and 2 from other states. Health Department official have appealed public to maintain Covid appropriate behavior and follow Covid protocols.
