‘Khajuraho will be established as intl centre of art, culture’

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Khajuraho will be established as an international center of art and culture to place it on the global stage. Talking about immense possibilities of tourism in Khajuraho, he told Khajuraho will be established as an ideal center of tourism.
 
For this, experience of people working in tourism sector will be utilised. Along with this, work will be done to ensure that Khajuraho Dance Festival meets international standards. He was dedicating Chhatrasal Convention Centre, built at a cost of Rs 51. 43 crore in Khajuraho on Friday.
 
He informed that Chhatrasal Convention Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities due to efforts of central and state governments. He said that during dedication of this center, a discussion will be held with 141 tour operators, Meetings, Incentive, Conference Exhibition (MICE) operators, event management agency, travel agents and other stake holders from various regions of the country and Khajuraho and Madhya Pradesh will be developed for MICE tourism. It is being ensured that  business and corporate meetings etc. should be organised national and international level along with tourism here. Khajuraho has been chosen as one of the 19 Iconic Cities of India. This is an evidence of how rich Bundelkhand’s ancient heritage is. Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) Prahlada Singh Patel said that it is his endeavour to bring back ancient glory of Khajuraho. The inscriptions of Khajuraho will be protected and placed on the global platform. He added PM Narendra Modi launched several schemes to overcome damage caused to tourism during Corona period, which will develop tourism sector and strengthen economic condition of people associated with tourism. Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur, BJP State President VD Sharma and others were also present on this occasion.
 
Blind leopard being trained well taking regular diet and also moving around the enclosure. Earlier, the park officials contacted veterinary doctors to operate the bullets from his head but no certain schedule can be made. Experts suggested that it would be risky to operate the bullets. Van Vihar team was making efforts to bring leopard out of trauma as he was facing several inconvenience due to his eyesight. The leopard prefers to walk all the time and whenever he hears a voice, he start roaring. The park officials said when meat was placed before him, he was unable to find due to lost eyesight but now he can easily smell the meat and find it. They are ensuring safe environment and comfort. The leopard has been brought to Van Vihar from Indore zoo in critical condition. He was rescued from Nayapura jungle.
