Jabalpur Smart City has received awards in two categories during an award presentation ceremony held at New Delhi. Executive Director of the Smart City Project, Sandeep G R, while expressing happiness on receiving the award, said the Smart City has received the Heritage City Award and Energy Efficiency Project Award 2021. He has given the credited of this achievement to the citizens of Sanskardhani.

He informed that the Smart City India Award 2021 was organized by Exhibition India Group at Pragati Maidan New Delhi in which Smart City CEOs and other representatives of various cities participated.

Anju Bhalia, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, who was the Chief Guest of the programme awarded JSC in two projects and also appreciated its works. The JSC has given Heritage City Award, for preserving various ancient heritage buildings like Kamania Gate, Ghantaghar Gandhi, Bhawan Library, Gokuldas Dharamshala, etc. It also given second aware for Energy Efficiency, under which solar systems have been installed in the roofs of various government and private buildings in the city.
