 BJP candidate for Damoh Assembly by-election Rahul Singh filing nomination papers in presence of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP State President V D Sharma on Tuesday.

In the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP State President V D Sharma, party candidate for Damoh Assembly by-election Rahul Singh filed nomination papers on Tuesday. After filing nomination papers, BJP leaders addressed a huge ig public rally. They said that Damoh by-election was totally an election of development. They promised that no stone would be left unturned to ensure development.
 
They sought votes for party candidate, Rahul Singh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that in the 2018 Assembly elections, Congress did not get mandate and has the BJP decided at that time, Congress would not have been able to form the government. “They got two to four seats more than us. We respected mandate and did not form the government. There was hope that as the Congress returned to power after 15 years, it will do something better. However, the Congress destroyed State in it’s 15 months’ rule. Kamal Nath Government-turned Vallabh Bhavan (Mantralaya) as a den of corruption. New records of corruption started to take place. The Kamal Nath Government snatched medical colleges of Chhattarpur and Panna, along with Damoh and Gadakota.
 
“I want to ask Kamal Nath about what wrong residents of Damoh have done,” asked the CM. He stated that all the schemes which were earlier ended by previous Congress Government have been restarted by the BJP Government for welfare of people. BJP State President V D Sharma said the BJP has emerged as an alternative of development. He alleged that previous Congress Government headed by Kamal Nath was actually running on behest of Digvjjay Singh and had snatched the rights of common people. He said that the BJP has given valuable gift to Bundelkhand in the form of Ken Betwa river link project. He claimed that Congress leadership was exhausted and Congress was just fighting for its existence.
