Continuing its special campaign against land mafia, a combine team of Jabalpur District Administration and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) demolished illegal under construction site worth Rs 1 crore on a 21,520 sq ft land of another person amounting to Rs 2 crore at Gurda village under the jurisdiction of Adhartal police station. The illegal construction site belongs to Kajju alias Kadir Khan who is a habitual criminal and absconding in total 24 sensitive crime cases including attempt to murder, Explosive Act, Arms Act, attack, forgery etc.
 
The accused was planning to construct 10 duplexes by encroaching the land of one Munna Lal Rajak, a resident of Raddi Chowki who had lodged a complaint at Adhartal police station and District Administration. It may be noted that under the direction of Madhya Pradesh Government, a special campaign has been started against persons involved in black marketing, food adulteration, land mafia, chit-fund companies and illegal money launders. Taking a serious note on the complaint, District Magistrate and Collector, Karmveer Sharma (IAS) and Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) released order for removing encroachment of habitual criminal. In compliance with the direction, a combine team of District Administration, police and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) led by senior police and administrative officers reached the spot and razed the illegal construction to evacuate the Government land. In order to avoid any kind of agitation, additional police force was deployed at the site during the demolition work. Besides this, SP Bahuguna has declared a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for apprehending or giving information about the absconding accused. During the demolition, SDM, Rishabh Jain, CSP, Adhartal, Ashok Tiwari, Tehsildar, Rajesh Singh, Naib Tehsildar, Sandeep Jaiswal, SHO of Adhartal police station, Shailesh Mishra, SHO, Kotwali, Anil Gupta, SHO, Gohalpur, R K Gautam, SHO, Ghamapur, Dilip Shrivastava, SHO, Panagar, R K Soni and anti-encroachment team of JMC were present.
