In a tweet Health Minister has mentioned that “Prime Minister Modi has a lot of experience in flying and he knows that it is always warned that in case of emergency, first put on his mask and then help others. Similarly, we should export or help other countries only after vaccination of our countrymen. India has previously assisted many countries in the field of vaccination. There is no doubt that we are capable, but right now there is a need to empower our citizens against corona. If the countrymen will be safe and healthy, then everyone will contribute to such noble cause in the coming time.”
Countering the allegation BJP leaders said that the State Government utterly failed in checking the pandemic in State and hence, the Health Minister who is otherwise considered a gentleman is accusing the Prime Minister of the country for the failure of the State Government back home. The BJP believe in the principal of Vasudeva Kutumbakam and it was with this objective the vaccines were supplied to foreign countries as a good will gesture. Moreover, there is no shortage of the vaccines in the country and the state government can demand the vaccines that they would require and the central government will readily make it available. But the State Government could neither assess the quantity of vaccine nor has it properly managed the vaccination.
