The represenatives of MIDC Industries Association (MIA) has discussed the ‘Beak the chain’ order issued by State Government with Joint Director of Industries and District Collector.
The members of the MIA have been informed by Association about the clarification on following points.
1) Weekend lockdowns: Industries will be exempted and industries can function on weekends as before.
2) To-fro for employees working in MIDC Hingna Industrial Area: There will be no restriction in terms of employees commuting to and fro from their residence in the city to their place of work in MIDC Hingna Industrial Area. Employees have to carry their ID card or a letter from their employer for their conveyance in commuting.
3) RT-PCR testing: The mandatory RT-PCR testing clause has been withdrawn but industries have to conduct rapid antigen testing of their employees at the earliest. The testing team of NMC has already initiated the process of rapid antigen testing in industries of MIDC Hingna. Industries can email on [email protected] or contact Vighnesh Iyer: 9130140193 at MIA Hingna stating that testing is to be conducted in their company.
MIDC Industries Association, Hingna will schedule the testing accordingly as per available testing slots. Else industries can get their employees tested at the Gram Panchayat testing centers or Government-designated testing centers.
4) Supply of oxygen to industries: It has been clearly conveyed that oxygen will only be supplied for medical facilities on priority and supply to industries will be halted with effect from 10th April 2021 till further orders.
5) Strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols: Last but most important - industries have to strictly adhere to set COVID-19 protocols like regular sanitization, washing of hands, wearing of masks, and social distancing by their employees.
As cases are rapidly rising in Nagpur district and industrial area too, hence it is very much important for industry people to follow the COVID-19 protocols in letter and spirit.
Industries are requested to take note of the above points and do the needful with regards to the above-mentioned points, informs a press release issued by Sachin Jain, Secretary of MIA.
