People go on shopping spree hours before lockdown

People went on purchasing spree hours before lockdown came into force on Friday. They made beeline before shops to stock necessary grocery items. Likewise, they also purchased vegetables in big quantity so that they should not face any problem till Monday the day when lockdown will come to an end as of now.
 
Markets witnessed huge rush of people who were in hurry to buy rice, edible oil, pulses and other necessary house hold items. In this buying spree, people hardly followed the social distancing formula.
 
However, large number of people were seen covering their face with masks.
 
In the meantime, in evening, police personnel started patrolling in markets asking shopkeepers to close their shops as per lockdown guidelines.
 
Cops moved in vehicles, by holding mike in their hands, making announcement that shops needs to be closed as per guidelines of lockdown imposed to break the chain of corona cases. Notably, Government announced lockdown in Bhopal and other cities of state from 6 pm on Friday till Monday 6 am. This decision has been taken by Government by seeing unprecedented rise in corona cases in state, particularly in Bhopal and Indore.
 
The second wave of corona has increased the case load of State by leaps and bound, forcing government to take some tough decisions. Passenger buses to and fro to Chhattisgarh have been already prohibited.
 
It is heard that at some malls there was a huge crowd and seeing this, tokens were issued for people for entry. As people rushed to stock vegetables, hence vegetables started to go out of shelf in shops and their prices started to soar subsequently.
