The Kolar police have arrested two men who raped a 6-year-old girl and gave her a samosa and Rs 20 to keep shut. The accused are grandfather and cousin uncle of the minor victim, police said. The accused had raped the minor girl a week ago and had threatened the girl to death on telling anyone. According to police reports, the 25-year-old complainant is a labourer and lives in Kolar with her two children, a 3-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. On Thursday evening, the girl told her mother that she was not feeling well and on asking further by the mother, she narrated her ordeal. The victim’s mother told the cops that her 20-year-old cousin brother came to her home a week ago, and took her children out for food. Before taking to the children to a shop, he took them to the children’s maternal grandfather’s home. Here he took the little girl inside a room and outraged her modesty, later the girl’s grandpa arrived and he also raped the girl. They left her when she began to cry, gave her a samosa and Rs 20. The girl told her mother that they threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident. The Kolar police booked both accused under Section 376 DA for gangrape and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on Thursday evening and arrested them later in the night.
