As the city has gone into lockdown, District Administration’s special cell members are distributing food packets to homeless, vagrants and other needy people who live on the roads on the direction of Dr S Bharati Dasan. The teams of special cell are deployed on the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Kumar Yadav, Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Saurabh Kumar and District Panchayat CEO Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh. These teams go around the city to provide lunch and dinner to needy people. The teams of local Police Stations, Women and Child Development Department and Raipur Smart City Limited have also been engaged in the task. These teams are distributing warm cooked food to people from a day before the lockdown.
