Nagpurians can get Covid beds’ position at click of a button

NSSCDCL develops a software and same is now on its dashboard providing real time information on position of vacant beds at hospitals 
 
A click in time can save a lot of efforts of citizens in finding a bed during current tie of emergency. The Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) has developed a software to provide updated information about vacant beds helping any one in need to zoom and in locate the same. With spike in novel coronavirus cases not subsiding any time soon, the NSSCDCL has started a dash board providing latest update about vacant beds position. The same can be assessed through the link https://nsscdcl.org/covid beds. The dash board is updated in real time as private and Government hospitals showing the position of beds, those equipped with oxygen and non-oxygenated beds. Also one can also get to see information about the ventilators as they are being needed once condition of positive patients worsens and they have difficulty in inhaling oxygen.

The facility made available by NSSCDCL also provides information about the beds available in ICU at that time. Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B said that the facility rolled would come handy for citizens and they won’t have to run around searching for vacant beds. Time is of utmost importance during emergence and hence the real time updation helps dispel doubts that there are no vacant beds, while in reality position is otherwise. Jalaj Sharma, Additional Municipal Commissioner; Bhuvaneshwari S, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL); took efforts for development of the said software. At present, the availability of beds in 107 hospitals in Nagpur is being shown, listing the oxygen bed, beds in ICU etc. This software, which shows the table of beds, ventilator beds, will be a great support to the citizens for their loved ones. Hospitals have been given the login ID of the software so that they can upload information about vacant beds. The hospital operator wanting to update the software on whether a new patient has arrived or the bed has been emptied can do so quite easily.
 
This information will be displayed in real time on the dashboard for citizens. The person concerned can admit coronavirus patients to hospitals as per need. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari has congratulated Smart City for this useful work. He said that in the meeting of the Guardian Minister Nitin Raut, the information about COVID beds should be given to the citizens but my suggestion was to give that information from time to time using appropriate technology. Also in the meeting of the corporation, the Ruling Party Leader in NMC, Avinash Thakre, was asked to make efforts for the same. The Mayor also said that the number of patients was increasing exponentially and in such a critical situation, the citizens would get real time information on which hospital beds were available for their relatives is a great help.
