Temperature fluctuation continues, thundershower warning for places

An upper air cyclone has formed over western Rajasthan due to the effect of western disturbance near Afghanistan. Also trough from Goa to Tamil Nadu remains. As these two systems remain active, there is a continuation of moisture. Due to this, there are thunderstorms in the districts of eastern region of Madhya Pradesh. According to meteorologists, a western disturbance is going to reach north India on April 14. Due to this, the weather is expected to remain cloudy for three to four days. During this time, there are chances of temperature fluctuations in the districts of the state. Thundershowers warning has been issued to many places in Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Badwani, Chhindwara. Wind velocity of 30-40km per hour is expected in next twenty four hours.

As per Weather Department officials there was an upper air cyclone over south-western Madhya Pradesh for the last two days. Also, a trough line from this system up to Kerala was made through this system. Due to these two systems, there was some moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Due to this, most of the districts of the State, including Bhopal, were cloudy. Also, there was rain at some places last week. Presently, a western disturbance exists over Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan. Its impact has created an induced cyclone over the western part of Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan.
 
On Tuesday, Bhopal city recorded maximum temperature at 40 degrees Celsius which was three degrees above normal and minimum temperature at 22 degrees Celsius which was two degrees below than the normal temperature. Wind velocity recorded was 18 km per hour. Highest temperature for the day is recorded at Khargone, Khandwa and Hoshangabad which was at 41 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature recorded at Indore was at 38.4(+1) degrees Celsius which was one degree below than the normal range and minimum temperature recorded at 24.2(+2) degree Celsius .Jabalpur recorded maximum at 40.6(+3) degree Celsius and minimum at 37.5(+2) degree Celsius. Gwalior recorded at 40.5(+2)degree Celsius and minimum at 20.3(+1) degree Celsius.
