BMC issues notices to zonal officers for not achieving target in vaccination drive

Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued notices to zonal officers for not achieving target of corona vaccination drive. Municipal Commissioner KVS Chaudhary has issued notices to 9 zonal officers. The notice was issued to officers for not achieving vaccination target on April 11, 12, 13. They have been asked to get target of 200 vaccinations per day. They have been given stipulated time of three days. In Bhopal, vaccination centres have been set up in all the 85 municipal wards and Sanjeevani clinics.

The main objective is to speed up vaccination in the State covering more people over 45 years of age. During total lockdown people are being allowed to commute and take vaccination in their respective wards. List of wards and centres have been identified by Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC). Before lockdown, volunteers were also visiting different areas informing public about vaccination centres and dates of vaccination drive.
 
Directions have been issued by Municipal Commissioner KVS Chaudhary to ensure take 600 vaccinations at each centre and strict actions against violators who do not apply masks and take strict action against those who do not keep physical distance. Vaccination is being done from 9 am to 5 pm in the vaccination centers and review of vaccination drive is being done regularly. The zonal officers have been given target and they have also been directed to ensure proper awareness about corona vaccination in different wards so that maximum people can get the benefit.
