CM interacts, motivates corona volunteers

To enhance public participation in efforts being made by the Government in battle against COVID pandemic, ‘Mai Bhi Corona Warrior’ campaign was conducted on call of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. More than 2,500 volunteers from one district registered themselves to render their support. Chief Minister Chouhan communicated with these corona volunteers through webcast for 4 hours. District Co-ordinator, Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Pradeep Tiwari updated the Chief Minister about various activities being conducted under the Abhiyan in the district. He informed that 150 social workers are involved in different activities in Jabalpur city, whereas 800 more social workers associated with CMCLDP and other village development societies will further be involved in the campaign. The Chief Minister sought advice from few identified organisations.

Reena Tekam, a Bargi-based student of Chief Minister Community Leadership Course, shared about her and team’s experience while carrying out mask distribution and vaccination at rural areas of the district. Vice-president, Seva Bharti, Mahakoshal, CA Jain advised to involve locals in the abhiyan to achieve desired results. At the end, Chief Minister Chouhan said that Jan Abhiyan Parishad has top priority to create social awareness. He also asked to initiate various self motivational campaigns including ‘Mask Nahi To Baat Nahin’, ‘Mask Nahin To Samaan Bhi Nahin’, ‘MP Matlab Mask Pahno’ and others. Simultaneously, the society committees and gram panchayats should impose Janata Curfew through self-motivation. Only then, the campaign would achieve the target.
 
He further informed that all the voluntary organisations will be imparted with training within a week to make them act more efficiently. The Chief Minister appreciated efforts being made in Jabalpur. The video-conferencing was attended by Additional Collector, Rajesh Batham, SDM Ashish Pandey, SDM, Manindra Singh, Divisional Co-ordinator, BS Damore, BC Vinayak Rao Wadnerkar, tehsildars and representatives from different organisations.
