Flouting of COVID-19 norms (SOPs) continued at public places. People are still not serious about wearing masks and adopting measures to prevent corona. In last fifteen days more than a lakh cases of COVID SOP violations have been registered. Bhopal Municipal Corporation along with district administration is carrying spot fine drive daily. On an average Rs 30,000-Rs 40,000 is being collected on daily basis. The number of violators of the corona guideline is also a matter of surprise due to the outbreak of corona infection in the state. People are still not serious about wearing masks and adopting measures to prevent corona.

 

The awareness campaigning to wear mask has been stopped due to lockdown and at present COVID awareness is being done by garbage vehicles of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC). Thermal screening of Police officials and BMC employees working in containment zones are also being done regularly. They are also advising people not to leave their homes unnecessarily. As a part of Swachh Survekshan, the staff of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) is taking stringent measures to keep cleanliness. In the last three days, more than 280 cases have been made and a fine of more than Rs 48,000 has been charged. The said fine is being collected from people who are throwing garbage in the open or using banned polythene.

 

Corporation officials say that teams will constantly monitor people and take action due to the clean survey. Since, the action regarding cleanliness in the middle was slowed down due to rise in corona case and lockdown. Due to this, many people had changed their habits regarding cleanliness. It was common practice to throw garbage in the open or use restricted polythene and now in such a situation, the staff of the corporation has to come to the field to take action again. Apart from this, action is also being taken against those who do not follow the rule of physical distance and walking without a mask to prevent corona infection.
