AS instructed by Collector Jaiprakash Maurya, continuous action is being taken against those trying to reap benefits through improper manner during lock-down and those not following Covid protocol. In the same context, a joint squad of Revenue, Food and Urban Unit raided six business establishments and imposed fine of Rs 9,000 for selling goods at inflated rates, not wearing masks during business operations and keeping the shops open even after the prescribed time-limit. According to information received, fine of Rs 500 was imposed on each M/s Puneet Bakery at Nayapara ward and Laxmi Grocery Stores located in Ambedkar ward, for not using masks.

Similarly, the owner of M/s Amit Pan Masala situated near Prashant Talkies in Industrial Ward, was penalized with a fine of Rs 5000 for selling materials at higher price while M/s Manoj Grocery Stores, Balaji Traders and Narayan Traders located at Sihava Road were slapped with a fine of Rs 1000 each for opening the shops beyond stipulated time. On the other hand, a fine of Rs 25000 was imposed on owner of M/s Sunil Food Products at Demar village for overlooking guidelines issued by Collector.
