A ‘Home-isolation Kit’ will be provided to all the patients of Covid-19 who are being quarantined at their residences. In wake of sudden spurt of Covid-19 cases in the State as well as in the district, the Health Department has issued a fresh set of guidelines for home-isolated patients of coronavirus. According to new guidelines only asymptomatic corona patients and those exhibiting mild symptoms will be given facility of home isolation. Guidelines also stated that in view of increasing Covid-19 cases in the State, it is important that more corona patients should opt for home isolation and should ensure proper arrangements of isolation at home.
 
For this it is important that daily monitoring of home isolation corona patient should be ensured by the District Covid Command and Control Centre established at district-level and the person should have necessary medical resources available. So, it was directed to provide a patient with ‘Home-isolation Kit’ while giving permission for home isolation. Home isolation Kit includes Home isolation kit includes instruction brochure, list and address of fever clinics, list and contact details of paid quarantine facilities, list and contact details of CC, list and contact details of DCHC, list and contact details of hospitals providing paid Covid-19 treatment, Surgical Mask- 20 Pieces, Tab - Azithromycin 500 10D x 5.5 Tab, Tab - Multivitamin I BD x 10 Days. 2 strips of 1x10 tab, Tab - Cetirizine 10 mg x 10 (for SOS use), tab - Paracetamol 500 mg 1 bd x 10 (for SOS use), Tab- Ranitidine 150 mg 1 BD x 10 - 2 strips 1x10 tabs, Tab - Zinc 20 mg 1 0D X 10.1 1x10 strip of tabs, Tab Vit C 1000mg x 10.1 1x10 strip of tabs and FAQs Instructions are given to make sure to have 1 set of materials. Arrangement of above kit will be done by the Chief Medical and Health Officer to the ratio of 40 per cent of total number of active Covid-19 cases in the district. This kit will be made available to Covid positive persons by the Medical Officer of the ‘Fever Clinic’ while allowing home-isolation to them. Also, corona patients who wish to home isolate self are advised to purchase a digital thermometer and a pulse oximeter for self-monitoring.
