BOI starts new zonal office in city to control 46 branches

The Bank of India (BOI), on Thursday, inaugurated it’s new zonal office at Jabalpur which will be the controlling office for 46 branches spread across 18 districts with a total business mix of about Rs 5600 crores. Managing Director and CEO, BOI, A K Das virtually inaugurated the Jabalpur Zonal Office, at Rajeshwar building, MIG-15, Shiv Nagar, Damoh Road. Rajesh Ranjan, Zonal Manager, BOI Jabalpur earlier started the inaugural ceremony.
 
The new zonal office is established to expand and strengthen the bank’s customer-base with a closer customer contact with effective monitoring and utilisation of resources. It will also ensure efficient management of issues associated with business complexities and overall growth to enhance customer services. Firmly adhering to a policy of prudence and caution, BOI has become a leader in new innovations and stands tall in the banking industry by offering its finest customer products and services to all the strata of society to ensure a stronger customer connect. These branches are controlled through, presently 55 zonal offices and 8 NBG offices. Presently the bank has vast overseas presence and provides it’s services over 5 continents. Accordingly Bank’s Khandwa Zone, which earlier comprised of 118 Branches in 18 districts of which 34 Branches in 13 districts have been splitted and will now be in the jurisdiction of Jabalpur Zone with 12 more branches in five districts, which have been splitted from Bhopal Zone which presently comprised of 109 branches. These 46 branches will together form Jabalpur Zone.
