Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain held a meeting with all Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) through video conferencing from Mantralaya on Thursday to review corona situation in State. Chief Secretary Jain, during the meeting, has directed all the Collectors and SPs to expedite the corona vaccination in all districts of State. He reviewed the corona vaccination and functioning of ICUs and HDUs in all dedicated covid hospitals of State in the meeting. Jain has asked the officers to inform the public regarding the reason for declaration of containment zones and to ensure following covid norms strictly in the containment zones. Jain has also directed the officers to ensure strict adherence for wearing face covers compulsorily.

 

If any person violates corona guidelines, Rs 500 should be imposed as fine on the person for violation. He further asked the officials to make people aware for corona vaccine. The Chief Secretary has asked the officers to take co-operations from Cabinet Ministers, Mayors, Jila Panchayat Presidents and other public representatives to fight COVID-19 pandemic. All the Collectors and the SPs have been asked to keep information about corona cases in neighbouring states and districts. The Chief Secretary has praised the works of Dhamtari Collector J P Maurya, Mahasamund Collector Doman Singh and Raigarh Collector Bhim Singh for taking measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infections in these districts.

 

He has given a warning to Balodabazar Collector Sunil Jain for doing better work for containment of the coronavirus infections in the district. Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Subrat Sahoo has also given various directives to the Collectors and the SPs through video conference in the meeting. Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Renu G Pillay informed the officers about the covid vaccination and the dedicated covid hospitals in detail in the meeting. Secretary of Finance Department Alarmel Mangai D, Secretary to Chief Minister Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Director of Health Mission Dr Priyanka Shukla, Director of Health Services Neeraj Bansod, Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, SPs, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the Jila Panchayats, Chief Medical and Health Officers, all nodal officers and other officials attended the meeting virtually.
