heat wave is continuing in neighbouring states of Gujarat and Rajasthan but western disturbance moved from North India. Due to this, tussle in western winds coming from there has slightly reduced. Due to this, maximum temperature has not shown major fluctuations in most of the districts of Madhya Pradesh, including the State capital. According to the Weather Department officials trend of declining temperature may continue for two-three days, but after that, once again, a phase of severe heat can begin. On Thursday, Bhopal recorded maximum temperature at 38 degrees Celsius which was two degrees below normal and minimum temperature at 20 degrees Celsius which was two degrees below normal temperature. Wind velocity recorded was 18 kms per hour.
 
The temperature started decreasing in Rajasthan and Gujarat due to western disturbance moving beyond North India. Westerly winds coming from there have reduced. Due to this, maximum temperature has started to decrease in most of the districts of the State. A western disturbance is likely to reach North India on April 1. Another western disturbance will reach North India on April 3. Meanwhile, wind is expected to be north and north-eastern. Due to this, temperature of day and night can fall slightly. Once these two systems pass, temperature is likely to rise once again. Also, wind speed is expected to reach 40 kilometers per hour on next two days.
 
Maximum temperature recorded at Indore was at 37.9(+1) degrees Celsius which was one degree below normal range and minimum temperature recorded at 21.6(+2) degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum at 38.7(+3) degrees Celsius and minimum at 22.6(+2) degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded at 37.9(+2) degrees Celsius and minimum at 18.5(+2) degrees Celsius. Lowest minimum temperature recorded was 15 degrees Celsius at Rewa. Highest temperature recorded was at 42 degrees Celsius recorded at Khargone.
