FOLLOWING instructions of District Collector Dr Saransh Mittar, massive efforts are being made to increase oxygen supported beds in the hospitals in district. 40 additional oxygen supported beds are being prepared at Divisional COVID Hospital Bilaspur. These beds will soon be available for the patients. Currently, there are about 100 oxygen supported beds here. Together, the number will increase to 140.
 
On Wednesday, Zila Panchayat CEO S Harris and Additional Collector Nupur Rashi Panna inspected the preparations for last phase. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Pramod Mahajan and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Devendra Patel were also present during the inspection. The authorities also inspected the District Ayurvedic Hospital. Preparations are also being made to set up a new COVID Hospital here. Dr Mahajan informed that 60 oxygen supported beds will be developed in the hospital.
