A truck driver was held on charges of committing breach of trust. He allegedly attempted to sell the iron bars which were supposed to be supplied from Maa Mani Industries Private Limited situated in Chakradhar Nagar to Jai Ambe Ispat Private Limited and R S Steel Industries in Urla Raipur. The accused identified as Ramsingh Sidar has been charged under Sections 420, 407, 120 b and 34 of IPC. As much as 30 tonnes of iron bars worth Rs 14.67 lakh was recovered in action. Driving license of Sidar was seized.
 
Truck carrying iron bars was impounded. 10.35-tonnes iron bars was to be supplied to Jai Ambe Ispat Private Limited while 19.650-tonnes iron bars was to be supplied to R S Steel Industries through Mahamaya Transport and Traders. Sidar left for Raipur on April 17 and later it was learnt that materials was not delivered in two factories and mobile handset of Sidar was also found switched off. On complaint of factory Manager, the case was registered under sections 407 and 34 of IPC. Meanwhile, Chakradhar Nagar SHO Abhinav Kant Singh was tipped-off that a man was searching for customer in Punjipathra for selling iron bars. A police team reached the spot and arrested the man identified as Sidar. Sidar confessed to his crime.
 
In 2020, Sidar was driving truck of Pradeep Kumar but could not pay the rent. He changed the truck color and engaged same truck in supplying iron bars. He attempted to sell iron bars to clear rent. Earlier also, Sidar was held in similar cases in Odisha and Jashpur.
