Isolation coaches installed at platform number 6 of Bhopal Railway Station started admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients on Sunday. There are 20 isolation coaches with 320 beds for patients. Patients will be admitted on these beds with consent of district administration. Bhopal railway has also arranged doctors, nurses, pharmacists and attendants for further treatment of patients.

 

The isolation coaches have bathroom, tri-colour dustbin, doctor cabin isolated by curtain, provision of mosquitoes net in window, water holder tap, arrangement for oxygen cylinder and provision of bucket and mug, stool, soap, dispenser, soap rake and dustbin in bathroom, etc. Roof of the coaches have been covered with jute to keep it cool amid the summer. Drip irrigation system has been arranged to keep the jute wet and cool. Water coolers have been also arranged at windows. Wi-fi facility has also been provided at station premises to keep the patients in touch with their relatives and social media platform. Railways is also providing tea, breakfast, lukewarm water, fruits, lunch, dinner and other recommended eatable to the patients.

 

After installation of mobile isolation coaches to treat the Covid-19 patients, Railways has banned the entry and exit of passengers from platform no. 6 of Bhopal Railway Station. This arrangement will be validated till further orders. On recommendation of district administration, isolation coach developed by Bhopal railway has been installed at Bhopal station platform no 6 and Habibganj station platform no 1 for further treatment of Covid-19 patients. As Covid patients will be admitted at the platform area, Railways has made changes in arrival and departure of its routine trains arriving and departing from platform 1 and 6 of Bhopal and Habibganj.
