Shop in Chunabhatti sealed for violating norms

A grocery shop was sealed in the State capital’s Chunabhatti area for the owner opened it amid the lockdown that has been imposed to contain the novel coronavirus. Seeing a shop named Kabuliwala open many citizens gathered at the shop to buy necessities. As soon as this information reached to the officials of district administration, a team was sent here to take action. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) TT Nagar, Sanjay Shrivastava, along with officials of district administration and of police department reached the spot and sealed the shop.
 
At the same time SDM Shrivastava also warned that no person should open the shop during the lockdown. Due to this, crowd gathers at the shops without any reason and the rules of safe physical distance are also violated. A fine will be imposed on the shop owner on May 3. Notably, two days ago seven grocery shoppers in New Market opened the shop during lockdown and sold their goods. The district administration took cognizance of the matter and shops were sealed. Collector Avinash Lavania has instructed all the SDMs and the police station in-charge including Tehsildars that it is necessary to act strictly to prevent infection and to break this chain.
 
He said that no person should come out of houses without reason, wear a face mask, follow two yards social distancing. Challan will be imposed upon those seen wandering on the roads without reasons. The collector also said to keep an update on those entering the city from other states and districts. Medical kits should be made available to individuals in home quarantine and their health status should be continuously monitored as well as punitive action should be taken against those who violate isolation.
