Markets roads wear desert
Markets and public places wore a deserted look on Rang Panchmi in Bhopal on Friday. Administration had prohibited social gathering and opening of markets to break the chain of coronavirus. Normally, markets remain abuzz with cacophony of people doing shopping. Likewise, roads remain busy due to regular traffic chaos. But on Friday, market lanes were empty and city roads were almost deserted as only few vehicles were seen on roads.
 
To ensure that no shop should remain open, police personnel inspected various market places. Otherwise during festivals, markets usually witness huge turnout of people. Both on Holi and Rang Panchami, people adhered to Government’s appeal not to celebrate the festivals by gathering. The restrictions were imposed in the city looking at fast increasing cases of corona. Second wave of corona is far strong than the first one. Second wave of corona has affected large number of people in Bhopal. On an average basis, Bhopal is reporting around 500 cases of pandemic everyday. People are also understanding threat posed by pandemic and are celebrating festivals with only family members and avoiding social gatherings.
