Rare species of vulture was found in injured condition in residential colony of Sagar district on Friday. Forest team reached the spot after being informed about the injured vulture. He was carried to the veterinary hospital by the team for further treatment. The vulture was given painkiller and other medicines.

 

Forest officials said that vulture has been caged safely in New Colony for treatment. He was lying injured in Akashvani Colony. As he was several injuries in legs, he was unable to fly. Forest officials said name of the vulture is yet to be identified but such species is not found in Madhya Pradesh. The team has sent photographs of vulture to ornithologist and wildlife experts to recognise the species.
