The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that factionalism and struggle for power among the Congress Legislators and Parliamentary Secretaries has been exposed from the recent letter written by a Congress Legislator to the AICC In-charge President Sonia Gandhi and complaining against prevailing corruption in Chhattisgarh Text Book Corporation. Lashing out at the ruling Congress Government, BJP State Spokesperson stated that by writing a letter to the party high command, the Congress Legislators and Parliamentary Secretaries have proved that everything is not smooth at the helm of affairs in Congress Government.

Anurag Singhdeo said that instead of highlighting the issue of the so called prevailing corruption in the Chhattisgarh Text Book Corporation to the AICC In-charge President, the Congress Legislators and Parliamentary Secretaries instead could have pressurised their own government to carry out a high-level enquiry and punish the offenders if any. On the contrary, by writing letters to their high command and releasing the same to the media proves that there is factionalism and race for power is prevailing amidst CPCC and Congress Legislative Party. They have also proved that everything is not correct in the ruling Congress and they want the intervention of the AICC.

Although the contest for power within the Congress Legislative Party is their internal issue, but in this in-fighting it has been proved that there is no one to hear the pleas of Legislators and Parliamentary Secretaries in State Government. Hence one faction of the party is garnering supporters for creating pressure on the other faction. Singhdeo said that writing letters about the alleged corruption in the Chhattisgarh Text Book Corporation, at a time when two years and six months of tenure of the Congress Government is being completed, gives rise to many political possibilities. He said that the pain of Parliamentary Secretaries and MLAs is clearly visible in the letter. At a time when the head of State is in Assam and the entire State is dependent on the mercy of the Almighty, under such a situation, how seriously the AICC leadership takes the feelings of this letter is a big question of the future.
