Additional IGP to probe into ‘delay’ in action by Reddy

The State Government has appointed Dr Pradnya Sarwade, Additional Director General of Police (DGP) to conduct primary inquiry about whether delay in action by M S Reddy, suspended former Additional Chief Conservator of Forest and also the Field Director, Melghat Tiger Project led Dipali Chavan to commit suicide. Arvind Apte, Chief Conservator of Forest (Mantralaya) has issued a letter in this regard. She has been directed to submit the report by April 30. Only after this report, the decision to file a case against Reddy or not will be taken. Notably, Dipali Chavan, Range Forest Officer, had shot herlself dead with her service revolver at her Government quarter in Harisal on March 25 evening.
Paratwada Court rejects anticipatory bail to Reddy
 
S A Munginwar, Ad Hoc and District and Sessions Judge Number 1 from Paratwada Court, on Saturday rejected the anticipatory bail petition of M S Reddy, suspended former Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Melghat Tiger Project and Field Director, Melghat Tiger Project. This was by informed Adv Parikshit Ganorkar, District Public Prosecutor, who is public prosecutor in the case.
