Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that hard work of farmers has become basis of economy in the difficult conditions of corona pandemic. The rich foodgrain production in State last year has strengthened not only the State but also the country. State Government is making every effort to double income of farmers. He said, “By combining Farming-Animal Husbandry-Horticulture-Fisheries, diversification of crops through Co-operatives, food processing, packaging and proper marketing the State’s products will make splash not only in country but all over the world also.” The Chief Minister was addressing the State-level Mission Earth Programme at Minto Hall on completion of one year of Madhya Pradesh Government.
 
The CM digitally dedicated the country’s second state-of-art semen production laboratory established at Bhadbhada, Bhopal at a cost of Rs 47.50 crore. As many as 985 community cowsheds built at various gram panchayats at a cost of Rs 260 crore were dedicated and foundation stone of 145 community cowsheds to be built at a cost of Rs 50 crores was laid. He dedicated 33 power sub-stations and also performed bhoomipujan of four sub-stations in the Mission Earth Programme with a total cost of Rs 1,530 crore.
 
He also dedicated 80 lakh saplings grown by self-help groups in horticulture nurseries to people of State. Along with this, cheques were also distributed to beneficiaries of Farmers Producer Organisations and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Prem Singh Patel, Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Energy Minister Pradyumna Singh Tomar, Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Bharat Singh Kushwaha and MLA Rameshwar Sharma were present. All the districts were digitally connected to the State-level programme. A short film based on the state-of-the-art Semen Production Laboratory set up in Bhopal was also presented on the occasion.
