For prevention and control of Covid in the district, Health Minister T S Singhdeo on Saturday reviewed the corona situation at Circuit House, Durg. PHE Minister Guru Rudra Kumar was also present in the meeting while Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu joined the meeting through video conferencing. Addressing the meeting, Minister Singhdeo stated that the meeting was called to collect feedback regarding additional resources needed in fight against corona and usage of DMF funds etc for the work.
 
The Health Minister made it clear that the objective is not to give immediate relief, but rather making a system so that we can be prepared for some other waves of the infectious corona. Minister specifically asked to work for making available additional oxygen cylinders in the district. He also said that it has been often seen that oxygen level of elderly persons and comorbid patients lowers speedily and hence the need is to increase the number of Covid beds. Health Minister assured that efforts will be made on every level to stop the infection in Durg district.
 
Meanwhile, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu laid stress on strengthening the infrastructure for health services in the Durg district so that complete control on corona infection can be attained. PHE Minister Guru Rudra Kumar on the other hand stated that works on war footing needs to be done on vaccination, testing and tracing. Durg (Urban) MLA Arun Vora said that the number of oxygen beds and specialist doctors and nursing staff need to be increased. Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal was also present in the meeting.
