Take stern action against encroachers: Kiyawat

To facilitate traffic and to develop a new shopping complex between 11 Number and 12 Number bus stop, Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat visited the area and instructed to take strict action against those using illegal constructions for commercial as well as for residential purpose. The Divisional Commissioner along with BMC KVS Chaudhary Kolsani and Public Works Department officials inspected the road from Durgadas Rathore intersection at Arera Colony to number 12 No. Stop, with a view to facilitate traffic and provide better facilities to the general public. He gave instructions for construction of new shopping complexes along with widening of the road, and instructed to make better plans for development of gardens on the roadside, and walkway construction.
 
Kiyawat also instructed to carry out inspection of 210 shops given on lease by the BMC and directed to construct a multi-storey shopping complex to replace the shops at this place, to propose a plan for G + 2 buildings in place of Housing Board shops and to demarcate the land adjacent to the number 12 housing for all buildings. During this, the officials of the Public Works Department informed that about 1100 meters long road from Durgadas Rathore square to 12 No. stop is proposed to be 18 to 22 meters wide.
 
Along with road widening, the channelisation of the drain and shifting and duct making of electric polo, lines are proposed. Kiyawat said a better plan should be made to widen the road, to facilitate the citizens, by developing a garden, and for tree plantation on walkway. The Divisional Commissioner also directed to make better planning of the bus stop located here.
