During the course of investigation into the case wherein a leopard was found in injured condition in forest circle 222 in Nayapura beat of Forest Division Indore, Tiger Strike Force, Indore has arrested four accused. They were arrested on the basis of scientific evidences. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Alok Kumar told that a leopard was found injured during July 9-10, 2020. In the CT Scan report said that as many as 46 pellets of gunshots were found in the head of leopard. This was substantial evidence that leopard was shot with an intention of killing. In this regard, a criminal case was filed on December 13, 2020.
 
Talking about the held accused, he told that all the four accused are residents of Indore. Two guns, three swords, 5 live cartridges, two empty cartridges, six jaws of wild boar, a turtle of rare species, two pair of clothes stained with blood of wild animals, two big knives, iron pellets of gun etc have been seized from the possession of accused. The arrested accused confessed that they were poaching wild animals since last many years. Accused have been identified as Ramcharan, Vishnu, Ramesh and Rajendra. In the meantime, other accused of gang are absconding and hunt to nab them is underway.
