Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials restarted monitoring in crematoriums to ensure COVID 19 guidelines compliance. Only 20 persons are allowed for last rites and wearing of PPE kit and other social distancing norms are must. A review meeting regarding development works near Crematorium was held .Anand Nagar Vishram Ghat renovation work ,,Shok sabha hall. Burning shed , pyau, Sulabh shuchalaya etc will be built besides other facilities .BMC is also emphasizing on electric crematorirum in areas like Chhola and Bhadbhada .
 
The electronic crematorium would go a long way in protecting the already depleted green cover and also at the same time improve the Air Ambience Quality as burning of woods for the purpose of cremation cause air pollution in the neighbourhood. Environmentalist have supported for encouraging the use of electronic crematorium and establishment of electronic crematorium in a major town of the city such as Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Gwalior, Rewa and Satna.
 
It is also noted that it helps to reduce Air Ambience Quality in and around the vicinity of the crematorium at Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior. Crematoriums inspection was carried out by BMC officials. BMC Commissioner KVC Chaudhary directed officials to ensure COVID- 19 compliance and also to minimise use of woods and carry out rituals in environment conservation manner. He directed the concerned officials regarding construction of electric crematorium and channelisation of the ravine passing through the crematorium area.
