NAGPUR’S Gurpreet Batra, a tennis ball cricketer and umpire, has been appointed as official for the Indo-Nepal International Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament which is going to be held at Pokhra in Nepal from April 7. In the recently held 31st Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship at Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, Gurpreet performed well while officiating in several matches.

 

On the basis of her performance she has been selected by the Tennis Ball Federation of India to officiate at Nepal. Gurpreet gives the credit of her success to Imran Ahmed Lari, Secretary, Tennis Ball Federation of India, officials of Vidarbha Tennis Ball Cricket Association and her parents. Ajay Hiwarkar, President, Vidarbha Tennis Ball Cricket Association, Rajkumar Kaithwas, Secretary, Priyanka Mahalle, Ashish Dongre, Treasurer, Anita Wahane, Rajendra Saudagar, Vikky Petkar, Trinath Gadwe, Rajesh Kaithwas, Takshak Lokhande and others congratulated Gurpreet for her selection.
