Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that April 6 is a very historic and holy day. On this day, Mahatma Gandhi’s Dandi March ended and Bharatiya Janata Party was constituted on April 6. “It is a happy coincidence that today, on April 6, we are sitting in front of Gandhiji’s statue for Swasthya Agrah,” he added. He said Mahatma Gandhi liberated the country with Satyagrah. Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleaned the country through Swachh Agrah. “In this chain, today I am in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue for Swasthya Agrah,” he added. He was holding discussions with journalists during ‘Swasthya Agrah’ organised near Gandhiji’s statue in front of Minto Hall with a view to create public awareness to prevent corona infection.

CM said that a healthy body is the first joy. Corona infection has affected country and the entire world. This is a disease that cannot be controlled only by efforts of the Government. This battle cannot be won without cooperation of the society, as infection spreads also due to behaviour of the society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given mantra of testing, tracing, treatment and vaccination. Along with this we need to behave in a certain way to prevent corona infection. Government is doing a lot of work in this direction.

As infection is spreading, number of patients in hospitals is also increasing. Government is engaged in increasing number of beds in hospitals and making other arrangements. He said that society will have to be aware to prevent infection. “I am here today to make a moral request to the society. Presently, people of the State are not habitual of wearing mask,” he told. He was of the view that as people become lenient, hence corona infection has spread rapidly once again.
