Rathore came back a week ago after election campaigning in Assam
 
 
MAHILA Congress District President Mamta Rathore died of Covid on Tuesday. She was not well past few days and was tested positive in Antigen test at district hospital. Her last rites would be performed as per Covid protocol. Mamta was tested negative in corona check-up at Raipur Airport and on Tuesday, she was tested positive in District Hospital, Gariyaband. Mamta was also former Nagar Panchayat President.
 
Confirming this, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Netram Navratna said that Rathore died within half an hour of admitting in District Hospital. Her condition was critical the time she was admitted, said Dr Navratna. As per information, Mamta Rathore came back a week ago after election campaigning for her party in Assam Assembly elections. She was suffering from cough and cold after returning from Assam and called Civil Surgeon over mobile phone for medicines. A team of doctors visited her house for check-up and administered necessary medicines.
 
The doctors suggested Mamta for corona check-up looking at symptoms after Assam visit. Mamta informed medical team of under-going corona check-up at Raipur airport and that the report had come negative. On Tuesday, Mamta reached District Hospital after her condition deteriorated. She was admitted and breathed last within few minutes. According to Dr Navratna, a team of doctors conducted Antigen test and reports were found positive for corona.
