To vent ire against non-payment of wages for the last four months, hundereds of sanitation employees from a number of wards of the city, on Wednesday, staged massive protest at Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) headquarters and demanded the administration to ensure payment of pending wages. Sanitation employees of Kotwali, Ghamapur, Kariyapathar, Hanumantal and Thhakargram ward said they were not receiving salary for last 4 months. The indifferent attitude of concerned authorities is proving dear to them as the poor employees are facing hardship in running their family. It may be noted that sanitation employees of a number of wards of the city have been protesting against non-payment of wages.
 
The employees are submitting complaints against concerned contractor at Police Stations. They also submitting memorandum to Municipal Commissioner. Despite, the poor employees have not been provided with pending wages.The sanitation workers said that they have been working continuously during corona period without caring for their life. Despite, they have not been provided with wages. Hence, they demanded the JMC administration to provide their wages without any delay or else they would stage massive protest in concerned wards.
