Deceptive number of positive cases? EVERYDAY when people read about new cases of COVID-19, they get horrified. Even administration and healthcare workers are scared as cases continue to rise. But, the number is deceptive. A senior pathologist, who has been constantly examining the samples for RTPCR, told ‘The Hitavada’, “Out of scare people are getting themselves tested twice or even thrice, so their test reports are counted in the total data. Suppose that day’s new cases count stand at 5,000 then it is the total number of cases including those who have tested themselves multiple times. I appeal to people not to get their samples examined multiple times and at different laboratories.”
