COVID vaccines are now also being administered to BSP employees in the age of 45 and above along with their spouses at the Town Services Department Building (TA building) SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant from Thursday. Director I/c SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant, Anirban Dasgupta, Executive Director (Works) Rajeev Sehgal, ED (P and A), S K Dubey and other senior officers today appealed to all employees of 45 years and above to get themselves vaccinated and take adequate precautions by following COVID appropriate behaviour both at workplace and at home to guard against the virus. Appeal has been made by BSP Management to avail of this new facility at TSD Building and keep them safe from COVID.

 

Employees and their spouses have been asked to come to the vaccination centre with either ‘Adhaar Card’ or ‘Driving License’, ‘PAN Card’ or ‘Voter ID Card’. PRW workers of age 45 and above are also being vaccinated here at this centre upon producing Adhaar Card. Besides vaccination centres in Sector 9 and Sector 1 Hospital, two more vaccination centres have recently been opened inside Plant premises at Main Medical Post (MMP) near the Plant’s Main Gate and Occupational Health Centre (OHS) near Sayantra Bhavan.

 

On Thursday, 188 employees were vaccinated at MMP and 200 employees were vaccinated at OHS till closing time, taking the total number of employees vaccinated inside Plant today to 388. Over 1115 employees have so far been vaccinated at these two centers inside Plant since the centers began functioning on April 6 with the help of District Administration. Meanwhile, ever since vaccination started in Sector-9 hospital on January 25 and subsequently at Sector 1 Hospital from April 1, more than 17,000 persons have been vaccinated. Out of 16,000 employees and their dependents vaccinated at Sect 9 and Sector- 1 hospitals so far, the number of employees vaccinated is 8000. Additional 1115 have been vaccinated at the two centres inside Plant.
