Despite intense lockdown, few people were caught trying to foul play with police personnel by producing old medical files to get through the barricades installed by the police in order to restrict the unnecessary movement. Amid the total lockdown, majority of city residents have been obeying all guidelines of COVID-19 lockdown and are staying indoors to prevent spread of dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.

Unfortunately, there are few irresponsible people, who were seen unnecessarily roaming on streets and highways on the pretext of purchasing medicines or availing medical services. On the other hand, in colonies and residential areas, the total lockdown is seemed to be hide and seek game between police and violators as they can be seen wandering on streets and hastily running to their homes, when they hear patrolling vans sound or if police personnel tries to chase them. On Thursday, a college boy, who wanted to visit to Nehru Nagar was stopped by the police personnel at the Supela Crossing in National Highway. Later, the boy produced a medical report, which was dated several months ago and the medical file was belonging to his family member. After an enquiry for couple of minutes, the boy revealed the truth and said the police personnel that he was going to meet his friend at Nehru Nagar.

However, he was later asked to go back to his house and the police threatened him to seize the vehicle. In wake of reports from several parts of Twin City that people blatantly disobeying the Government orders of lock down by assembling at various places in numbers, the police personnel have been directed to act tough and initiate legal proceedings against such people for disobeying the guidelines. Traffic personnel have pointed that if they find no urgency, they do not let the person move from one to another place. In the last two days, they found such cases of producing old medical reports to defy lockdown in several places across city.
