Aam Admi Party (AAP) youth wing members on Sunday staged virtual demonstration against State Government’s decision for online delivery of liquor and over shortage of vaccine in State. Youth Wing State President Tejendra Todekar lashed out at the State’s decision for home delivery of liquor, saying the citizens need the vaccine, first. The Government need to get vaccine to home, instead the Government is planning to supply liquor to home. As the vaccination for 18-44 age group people has started, State Government announced it will vaccinate the Antyodaya card holders first, which was failure of the Government since Covid doesn’t differentiate between rich and poor.

After the intervention of the High Court, State Government stopped the vaccination and then restarted. The Government had received around 1.03 lakh vaccines, but only around 42,000 were inoculated till May 7, 2021. The slow pace of vaccination is the because of the vaccine shortage. AAP leader held both Central and State Government responsible for it. He alleged that sufficient order for vaccine hasn’t been placed and vaccination started across the nation. Central Government should have been made proper arrangement of vaccines. Youths are confused and waiting eagerly for vaccine.

The State and Central Governments should stop politicking and work together to supply vaccines to the youth. State Government is only worried about its personal profit. While all the businesses are closed, government has started liquor selling for personal profit. The youth wing strongly oppose the decision. The demonstration was held by State President Tejendra Todekar, State Organisation Secretary Ashutosh Gopal, State Secretary Gajanand Lahare, Staet Vice President Sant Salam, Dageshwar Bharti, Vivek Singh, Arjun Mandawi, Laxman Sen, and Nishant Bhatt.
