Health Minister T S Singhdeo took review meeting of senior officials of Health Department and took information on corona testing and vaccination taking place in State here on Monday. Singhdeo directed the officials to speed up the vaccination drive in all categories. He also directed the health officials to set-up vaccination centres at places convenient for the public. During review meeting organised at New Circuit House Minister Singhdeo directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements at the vaccination centres so that people reaching there may not face any problem.
 
He directed the officials of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation to coordinate with both company officials supplying Covid vaccines and arrange to get maximum quantity of vaccines for age group of 18-44 years category. He also directed the officials to make sufficient stock of necessary consumables for vaccination. Minister Singhdeo informed that for vaccination of candidates in category of 18-44 years both Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute of India have been asked to supply 75-75 lakh vaccines.
 
They assured to supply 9 lakh vaccines by May. State Nodal Officer Dr Priyanka Shukla informed during meeting that till May 9 total of 1,09,869 persons were vaccinated in 18-44 years category. So far total of 59.36 lakh vaccines have been administered to Health workers, Front line workers, 45 + and candidates of 18-44 years category. Dr Alok Shukla, Principal Secretary of Health Department, Health Secretary Shahla Nigar, Director Health Services Neeraj Bansod, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation, Kartikeya Goyal and Control Food and Durgs Administration, KD Kunjam were present during the meeting.
