Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Tuesday commissioned an oxygen tank at 110-bed Panchpaoli Maternity Nursing Home. This is first tank to be set-up at civic hospital facility. All the beds at Panchpaoli has oxygen facility and now with tank having capacity of 6 kilolitre would end dependence on jumbo cylinders. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, Sanjay Mahajan, Chairperson, Medical Services and Health Committee, Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Milind Meshram, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Dr Sanjay Chilkar, Medical Officer, Ganesh Rathod, Assistant Commissioner, Asinagar Zone, Dr Sangeeta Khandait, Zonal Medical Officer, inspected the system. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that the NMC is now moving towards self-sufficiency as to oxygen.
 
There will no longer last minute rush to fill-up oxygen cylinders and bring them back to hospital which was time consuming exercise. He applauded civic administration for speeding-up the work. Asara Foundation's, Asara Charitable Multi Speciality Clinic, Shanti Nagar, is helping NMC in operation of the hospital. D. Avej Hasan, President of Association, has promised help to civic body. Specialist Doctors, MBBS Doctors, AYUSH Doctors, Nursing Staff etc. have been appointed by the NMC to run the hospital.
